Hi, I’m Helen, a Nigerian-born writer and digital communication specialist. I had my primary and secondary education in Ibadan, while my university education was at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where I studied Microbiology and graduated with a second-class upper division. I currently live in the United Kingdom.
In March 2025, I gave birth to my daughter, Olachi.
Motherhood is a beautiful experience that can quickly become overwhelming if not carefully managed. Mothers need their ‘village’ and access to relevant information to truly enjoy this critical phase. Sadly, many-to-be mums are under-informed, which hinders their ability to make an informed decision. I started writing to process my journey into pregnancy, and soon, Mama’s blog was born.
My Mission
To make health education relatable and relevant for mothers, especially African mothers who are often left out of the global conversation.
Sharing real stories from my own experience and leaning into my science background, I break down medical topics into easy-to-understand insights.
